I started Best Mate because I believed pet portraits could be genuinely beautiful. Not just cute. Not just clever. The kind of thing you actually want on your wall.
I'm a curator at heart. The color palette, the mood, the style of every concept is something I obsessed over and personally signed off on. The AI doesn't decide what looks good. I do.
This is a small business. That means every portrait matters, and I'm not willing to ship anything I wouldn't hang in my own home.
Every concept personally curated. The style, mood, and palette of each concept is art-directed by me, not generated by committee.
Free to see before you pay. You get to see your portrait before committing. If you don't love it, you owe nothing.
Nothing prints until you approve it. You see the portrait first, and if a print ever arrives damaged, I reprint it or refund you.
We give back to local shelters. A portion of every Best Mate portrait goes directly to animal shelters in North Carolina. The dogs who didn't get a home yet deserve a little love too.
